CAS 1010  CAS FIRST-YEAR EXPERIENCE (1 credit)

CAS 1010 provides an opportunity for students to begin authoring their UNO experience with intention and confidence. Through class discussions, activities, and assignments, students will identify their unique strengths and learning styles, explore strategies to increase wellness, and build a community of faculty, staff, and peers. The course also welcomes students into the College of Arts and Sciences, celebrating the value of a liberal arts education and its importance for 21st-century careers. Students will leave CAS 1010 with a sense of purpose and belonging, ready to create a meaningful college (and life) experience.

Prerequisite(s): First-year, first-semester student in the College of Arts and Sciences. Not open to non-degree graduate students.
