CRCJ 9600  SEMINAR ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEMS (3 credits)

This course is designed to provide students with a multidisciplinary overview of key institutions, processes, and policy issues regarding the criminal justice system. Particular emphasis is placed on examining the structures, functions, and dynamics of the police, the courts, and corrections. Additionally, the goals and values underlying justice policy within these institutions and emerging issues within each sector are explored.

Prerequisite(s): Admission to PhD program in Criminology and Criminal Justice; or UNO graduate student and instructor permission.
