This course exposes the student to contemporary issues in Emergency Management including how to conduct exercise design, development, and evaluation. What different factors affect administration of emergency management services and what actions are required for planning, preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery strategies when dealing with Natural Disasters, Medical Pandemics and Outbreaks, and Terrorism/Para Military Events that threaten the United States. Prerequisite(s): Students must have completed or be concurrently taking the beginning core of the MPA curriculum.
