ENGL 8020 SEMINAR: COLLEGE WRITING INSTRUCTION (3 credits)
This seminar prepares Graduate Teaching Assistants to teach first-year composition through an introduction to the history of writing instruction. Students design writing assignments, engage in assessment aligned with program standards, and reflect on teaching experiences. The course supports students' professional development as they examine current issues in college writing instruction.
Prerequisite(s): Graduate status and a teaching assistantship. Not open to non-degree graduate students.
