GDRH 2110  CORE TOPICS IN THE SOCIAL SCIENCES: LIFESPAN DEVELOPMENT (3 credits)

This course surveys the growth and development of humans from the prenatal stage through the end of life. Emphasis is on physical, cognitive, and socio-emotional processes with special attention given to the cultural contexts of development and the rich diversity that is produced. Key elements of the course iinclude the importance of the scientific methods, socio-cultural comparisons, and critical thinking considerations.

Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into the Goodrich Scholarship Program and typically completion of the freshmen curriculum. Not open to non-degree graduate students.
