ISQA 4380 DISTRIBUTED CLOUD TECHNOLOGIES AND SYSTEMS (3 credits)
This course is designed to give students grounding in the concepts, issues, and tools needed to manage distributed systems, enterprise cloud architectures & Internet-based environments. This course teaches students how to design, build, and manage IT infrastructure and host applications in the cloud. The course helps students understand how various cloud services fit together in real-world cloud-based solutions. It emphasizes best practices and design patterns that apply across industries, application types, and business sizes. Through a mix of lectures, case studies, guided hands-on labs, and project work students build practical cloud architectures - giving them skills in systems development, security, planning, deploying, and optimizing cloud-based systems. The course content aligns with preparing students for both academic and professional cloud-architecture career paths.
Prerequisite(s): ISQA 3310 with a grade of C- or better or equivalent knowledge of database design and SQL.
