KINS 2210 GROUP EXERCISE LEADERSHIP (3 credits)
This course provides students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies to instruct and lead group exercise classes across a variety of formats, including step, aerobics, cardio kickboxing, bootcamp, dance fitness, and yoga. Emphasis is placed on proper technique, sequencing, transitions, progressions/regressions, and modifications to ensure safe, effective, and inclusive instruction while fostering group participation and motivation.
Prerequisite(s): KINS 1800 with a grade of C- or better, School of H&K majors, Secondary Education majors with endorsements in Health/ PE 7-12, and PE Pk-6th and 7-12
