MUS 415U  MUSIC PEDAGOGY (1 credit)

This course is an overview of teaching music to beginners and intermediate students and is designed for performance majors. Students will apply knowledge about their area of study through lectures, studio teaching, playing, and observation. Each section of this course will focus on a different area (Brass, Woodwinds, Strings, Percussion, Voice, Piano, Jazz). Each area instructor will choose a textbook based on their area.

Prerequisite(s): Permission of instructor and/or School of Music Director. Not open to non-degree graduate students.
