NEUR 4940  PRIMARY LITERATURE SEMINAR IN NEUROSCIENCE I (1 credit)

Neuroscience is expanding at an unprecedented pace, driven by breakthroughs in neurobiology, genetics, and computational modeling. This seminar invites students to engage deeply with influential primary literature, cultivating sharp critical-analysis skills while exploring research that is actively redefining the field. Students will be challenged to dissect and debate the latest high-impact primary research. Together, we will uncover how cutting-edge science is reshaping our understanding of the brain-one journal article at a time. (Cross-listed with NEUR 8946).

Prerequisite(s): By approval of instructor only. Prerequisites: One 4000-level NEUR course.
