PSCI 4040  CONGRESS AND THE LEGISLATIVE PROCESS (3 credits)

This course introduces students to the development of the Congress and modern application of the legislative process through examination of congressional elections, congressional leadership, congressional decision-making, legislative rules and procedures, the relationship of the Congress with other governmental and non-governmental actors, and the role of the Congress in making public policy. Prerequisite(s): PSCI 1100 or junior standing or permission of instructor.
