This course takes a sociologically grounded but interdisciplinary look at the past, present, and potential future of disability. Along the way, competing models and theories of disability are critically explored and substantive issues pertaining to the social experiences and social responses to people with disabilities are discussed. Prerequisite(s): SOC 1010 and junior or senior standing; or permission of instructor. Not open to non-degree graduate students.
