STAT 4740 INTRODUCTION TO PROBABILITY AND STATISTICS I (3 credits)
A mathematical introduction to probability theory including the properties of probability; probability distributions; expected values and moments; specific discrete and continuous distributions; and transformations of random variables. (Cross-listed with MATH 8746, MATH 4740).
Prerequisite(s): MATH 1970 and either MATH 2230 or MATH 2030 all with a grade of C- or better or permission of instructor.
