TED 8460 CRITICAL PERSPECTIVES AND RESPONSIBLE USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN PK-12 INSTRUCTIONAL PRACTICE (3 credits)
This course prepares PK-12 educators and instructional leaders to critically analyze, design with, and responsibly implement artificial intelligence (AI) tools in educational and professional contexts. Through hands-on exploration of generative AI tools, participants will design engaging and personalized learning experiences, streamline instructional workflows, and enhance professional productivity. Grounded in research-based and ethical frameworks, candidates will evaluate the pedagogical, practical, and social implications of AI to ensure responsible and equitable implementation. Reflective inquiry and collaboration will guide participants in developing sustainable, evidence-informed approaches to AI adoption that honor teacher professionalism, student growth, and institutional accountability.
