Health Science Education Certificate
The School of Health and Kinesiology (H&K’s) health science education certificate prepares educators with a robust understanding of key health science topics and pedagogical strategies. The certificate combines foundational health science coursework with education-specific training, ensuring that educators can deliver content effectively and inspire students to pursue careers in health and wellness. Graduates of this program will be well-equipped to teach courses in anatomy, public health, kinesiology, and community health, as well as integrate medical terminology and other foundational knowledge into their teaching.

General Application Requirements and Admission Criteria
Application Deadlines
Spring 2027, Summer 2027, and Fall 2027: Applications for this program are accepted on a rolling basis. All materials must be submitted prior to the beginning of the semester in which the student has elected to begin coursework.

English Language Proficiency: Applicants are required to have a command of oral and written English. Those who do not hold a baccalaureate or other advanced degree from the United States, OR a baccalaureate or other advanced degree from a predetermined country on the waiver list, must meet the minimum language proficiency score requirement in order to be considered for admission.
