The Doctor of Social Work (DSW) program at the University of Nebraska Omaha is the first doctoral-level social work program in Nebraska. It is designed for experienced social workers seeking advanced professional education. Delivered in a fully online format with a required weekly synchronous component, the program offers flexibility and supports collaborative learning. Students complete focused study in either Advanced Clinical Practice or Leadership and Advocacy. Graduates will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to drive innovation, strengthen organizations, and contribute to the future of the social work profession.
Admissions

Prospective students should be prepared to submit official transcripts, a résumé or curriculum vitae, and a statement of purpose as part of the application process. Applicants must hold an MSW degree from a CSWE accredited institution.
