ART 3610 ELEMENTARY CERAMICS (3 credits)
This course serves as an introduction to ceramic arts, focusing primarily on hand-building techniques and surface decoration. Through four major assignments students will create original ceramic artworks that emphasize both technical and conceptual skills. Several critiques relating to assignments will be conducted throughout the semester. Throwing on the potters wheel is covered in Intermediate Ceramics: ART 3620. Lab fee required.
