TED 3690 LITERACY AND LEARNING (3 credits)
This course examines ways in which reading and writing can facilitate student learning in content areas studies (e.g., science, social studies, physical education, art, music, and math). The main focus is on teaching practices that engage students and contribute to their learning, integrating their background knowledge and cultural experiences with content area literacy. Prerequisite(s): EDUC 2510 or EDUC 2520 or TED 2400; co-requisite TED 3550. 2.75 NU GPA and scores showing Praxis attempt (Math, Reading, and Writing)
