Directed readings and various special topics courses can be used for the minor with advisor approval. Special note, students who were undergraduate students at UNO cannot take a dual-listed course at the graduate level if they have already taken the course at the undergraduate level.

The minimum requirement for the graduate minor is nine credit hours taken at the 8000 and/or 9000 levels. A student’s program will be planned in consultation with a medical humanities (MEDH) graduate advisor. The courses must be included on the Change in Plan of Study form and the minor department must sign off on this form. Up to three hours of previously completed graduate credit may be applied if taken within the time to degree requirement and subject to approval by the Graduate Advisor. The minor will be reflected on the student's transcript at the time of graduation.
