Journalism and Media Communication Minor Requirements

Students may earn a minor in Journalism and Media Communication with courses selected from JMC offerings. To fulfill the minor, students must complete 18 hours in JMC offerings with 9 of those credit hours in JMC 1500, JMC 2100, and JMC 2200 . Within the JMC major, students may not have a minor in another concentration besides the primary concentration they have selected for their major. For example, students following the emerging media concentration cannot minor in the PR/Ad concentration. All courses in the minor must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher.
