*Bridges Oregon's National Sign Language Assessment required for many of the interpreting development courses. -Background check required prior to enrolling in SPED 4240.
Students in sign language interpreting program are expected to participate in classes and field experiences following the ethical and professional guidelines of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and the National Association of Interpreters in Education.
ELECTIVES

Grade requirements in Sign Language Interpreting program

Grade of C- or better required in General Education Courses and electives. 
Grades of C or better required in Related Coursework, ASL Development and Interpreting Development courses EXCEPT Grade of B- or higher required in SPED 2120/2124, SPED 3110/3114 SPED 3120, SPED 3130, SPED 4180, SPED 4240, SPED 4310, and SPED 4320.

GPA requirements in Sign Language Interpreting Program

Students must maintain a 2.75 minimum GPA to remain in the major.  Additionally, a 2.75 minimum GPA is required to meet prerequisites for most of the Interpreting Development courses.

University Degree Requirements:
The minimum number of hours for a UNO undergraduate degree is 120 credit hours. Please review the requirements for your specific program to determine all requirements for the program.
